01-05-2010: And Now For Something Completely Different...
Hey folks!

Right now you're probably wondering what has happened to the "Christmas Ghost" storyline that had been appearing here in GOC. Well, I canned it. I didn't shelve it because I felt it wasn't going anywhere, or that I felt like moving on to another storyline. No, I simply ran out of time to complete the story in a timely manner.

I bit off a bit more than I could chew in the time allotted me during the Christmas season. If I were to complete this story, I would be well into January before it came to its conclusion. I instead decided to take time off from the strip, spend some down time with my family, and take full advantage of the holiday season.

Now as we enter 2010, it's time to present you with the "Good news bad news" scenario. The bad news first: I am taking more time off of GOC to work on some other projects unrelated to the cartoon and deal with some neglected personal issues.

The good news: GOC isn't going anywhere. I have a few improvements planned for the web site that I'm going to try to implement for the re-launch. These include some new t-shirt designs, a retooled and expanded links page, and other changes to the format that should make it easier to enjoy the strip.

In the meantime, I've uploaded some past strips that will give you a good idea of the evolution of the comic over these last seven years. Even better, you'll be able to read these past strips every day until month's end. That's right! Instead of comics 3 to 4 times a week, you'll have one every day for the rest of the month! Funny thing about these old toons...the themes they explored years ago seem eerily relevant today!

So enjoy this blast from the past and come on back for some new toons starting Monday February 1st! There'll be new stories, some new characters and, I'm hoping, some new readers willing to take the GOC plunge!
